Following last year’s critically acclaimed, sold-out success, the dynamic cross-cultural project MAOSHO has officially announced its return to New York City this fall.

MAOSHO seamlessly blends the worlds of contemporary jazz, traditional Japanese music, and vibrant world rhythms. Featuring the brilliant jazz multi-instrumentalist Mao Sone (piano/synthesizer) and Tsugaru shamisen virtuoso Sho Asano, the duo brings together soulful folk melodies and cutting-edge modern improvisation to create a truly unique, boundary-pushing sonic experience.
