A new unit combining Tsugaru shamisen, jazz, and classical music, "MAOSHO," will start a new radio program on MBS Radio.

MAOSHO, a new unit consisting of Tsugaru shamisen player Sho Asano and pianist/trumpeter Mao Sone, has been confirmed to appear on MBS Radio's "Maison de Music" in a new program called "MAOSHO's HIBIKI RADIO," which will run for a limited three-month period.

The broadcast will begin in July 2025, on the fourth Wednesday of every month, for one hour starting at 25:30 (1:30 AM the following day). The broadcast schedule is as follows:

• First broadcast: Wednesday, July 24th

• Episode 2 will air on Wednesday, August 28th.

• Third broadcast: September 25th (Wednesday)

In this program, the two will talk at length about their genuine feelings, behind-the-scenes stories, and their thoughts on music as they prepare for their overseas challenge in New York in September.

Furthermore, during the first broadcast on **Wednesday, July 24th**, we plan to give you an early preview of the new music that will be released on August 20th .
