What is MAOSHO?

A unique musical unit that pursues expression that transcends the boundaries between jazz and traditional music. - Mao Sone: Active since her time at Berklee College of Music, she has won numerous international awards. - Sho Asano: At the age of 14, he won the national Tsugaru shamisen competition for the first time and was selected for the "beyond2020" program.

Having performed over 300 shows annually both in Japan and abroad, delivering the "sounds of Japan" to audiences of all generations, these two are finally releasing their first recording. Look forward to a genre-transcending chemistry!
