The famous Gunma/Tochigi folk song "Yagibushi" is reborn through "MAOSHO," a project by young Tsugaru shamisen master Sho Asano and jazz pianist Mao Sone. This track boldly incorporates Latin music elements while preserving the excitement of a summer Bon dance, born from a strong desire to "deliver music unique to Japan, rather than bringing something already existing in the world." This is a live recording released from MAOSHO's highly successful New York performance in 2025. This is a special version featuring Grammy Award-winning New York-based artist Keita Ogawa on percussion as a guest.
